New Blog Design

Hey yall, so I have asked Google a lot of questions and have taught myself the basics of Adobe Photoshop and made my own blog design. Whatcha think?? If you think anything looks bad or needs changing, I am open to suggestions and if you know some pointers I would love some!

In other news, 8 more sleeps until Canada. I am getting so excited. I've been going through all the outfits in my head and planning what I will wear while there for 2 weeks. There is nothing I hate more than only getting to choose from my suitcase, but I will have to make due. Now that airlines are charging for checking baggage, I am having to stay to a minimum of what I need versus taking my whole closet along with me. I have done a few shopping trips at Forever 21 and have been going through my jewelry to give me more ideas. Weird how jewelry can help you think of what to wear. I guess thats just part of being a girly girl!

Well that's all for now... night kiddos!

Alex and Ani Bracelet

I found these bracelets through another blogger Pink Lou Lou (thank you!) and looked through their website and found such cute stuff, it was hard to resist buying almost everything. So I limited myself to 2 bracelets but deff going back for more. I wear mostly silver jewelry, but have been finding myself loving the gold and rose gold jewelry a lot more than I used to so I am gonna get some gold ones next! So here are my new Alex and Ani bracelets...

The bracelets go great with my Pandora charm bracelet.

Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day??

I was a senior in high school and I remember getting a call from my then boyfriend telling me to turn on the news. I turned on the TV in my room and couldn't believe what I saw. I ran down the hallway to my parents bedroom and turned on their TV and we all just sat in silence and just watched. My father being a Fireman himself, I could see the hurt in his eyes. My mother being a nurse, knew what this meant for the injured. Going to school that morning everyone seemed to be in a cloud. It was a very silent school day. All the teachers had their TV's on. No school work was done that day. Like our school, the whole nation watched in disbelief of what was happening to our country, our people, our heroes. A few days later my dad was informed that because he had done search and rescue, they were sending firemen from everywhere to help. I was devastated. I knew how many lives had been lost not only on 9/11, but the days that followed. I knew my dad would have to go if he was called upon, but it was not something I was ready for. He never got "the call" which I was certainly grateful for, but also felt very selfish for not wanting him to go.

Our nation will never be the same as it was, but only stronger and more united than ever.
Thank you to all the service, fire, police and emergency response men and women who fought and helped that day and for all days. You are truly heroes in so many hearts.
This day will forever be the day our nation become 1.
Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day??

Shopping for a wedding dress?!?!

No peeps, I am not shopping for my wedding dress... yet! ;-) I have been shopping around for a dress to wear to the wedding I am attending in Canada next month. I have gone back and forth with a dress or nice slack & heels (cause the weather that time of year in Canada is an unknown to me) but of course being the girly girl that I am, I have decided on a dress. The attire to weddings now-a-days has become more of a casual outfit. I am of course obsessed with maxi dresses so I knew this was going to be on my list. Both dresses I found by accident, which is the best way in my opinion. When I go looking for a dress or particular item, nothing is ever good enough. This first dress I found when my co-worker was handing out her Avon-Mark books and I usually skim through to see what Mark stuff they have come out with. And there it was...

With fall/autumn colors I thought it would be super cute for the wedding with some all black wedges and some cute jewelry. So of course I bought the dress for $30. Then that following weekend I was walking around Macy's with my sister looking for jewelry for the above dress and spotted this dress on the rack...

(sorry about the small pic... Macy's doesn't let you save pics)
But the dress I have is purple instead of pink. It fits like a gem! The fabric is polyester/spandex so it flows nicely and also doesn't wrinkle. So I found a cute pair of wedges yesterday at
Cathy Jean

These are the shoes, but they are all black.
So now I am looking for jewelry to go with the new dress. Don't worry, I have other occasions coming up that I can wear the first dress to. Hopefully the weather won't be too cold for that dress or I'm just gonna shiver my ass off during the "I Do's"

Ouch... My back

While at work on Tuesday I was walking down the hallway to my office and all of a sudden "Ouch" I had a muscle spasm in my back. I was literally walking and bam... I was down for the count. I couldn't sit in my chair, I could only bend over the desk. Needless to say I looked redic. Every time I would try to stand straight, I would get a muscle spasm that would literally take my breath away. I tried to go back to work the next day but I can't sit in my chair without some major pain. So I've been flat on my back in bed for the last almost 2 days now. What's a girl to do you ask??? I've been cat hinge up on Bachelor Pad and playing with my new iPad. Hopefully soon I will be a fully functioning, straight standing, pain free Kalee Marie! :)

Happy early Birthday to Me!!!

So the BF and I have been talking about getting a new PC. Let me just tell you that Richard is a Mac/Apple person all the way. He always gives me hard time about my HP (which has a million viruses and is on it's way out). So needless to say we have been looking at a Mac PC. Well both of us enjoy sitting on the couch with our laptops (I know we are an active couple arn't we?) So we were both having a hard time picturing us in the computer room using this PC. Not to mention the price of these said Mac PC's are a bit out of our price range. So our next thought was a Mac Book, but Richard has one and what's the point of having 2 of the same? So BF asked me about the iPad. I had never though about this since I had an iPhone, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked... No loved the idea. (Good job babe!) It was a done deal. We went to the local Mac Mall and picked it out. I told him that even though my birthday was still a month and a half away, that I would accept this as an early Birthday gift. So..... Happy early Birthday to Me!!

It's all about Breakfast

Is it weird that I wake up everyday, no matter what time of day it is, and my first meal has to be a breakfast type meal? I can't wake up and go straight to a sandwich or burger or leftovers for that matter. I have to have some sort of breakfasty meal. My boyfriend can wake up and have leftovers or chips, anything that will cure his hunger. Do any of you have the same breakfast dilema?

Let the blogging begin

So I have decided after seeing and reading so many great blogs out there, I would start one of my very own.

So for those reading with me I was born and raised in Southern California. I am a girly girl who loves to shop, but recently just bought a home. So I'm trying to find balance in the real world and the retail world that I so dearly love. I love all things pink and girly. I love chic flicks and romance, and I truly believe I have found my prince charming.

Right now my life consists of a 9-5 job working at a hospital, living with my wonderful boyfriend, and loving my 3 puppies like they were my own children.

I can't wait to start sharing my life along with the trials and tribulations of being a
Blonde Shopaholic.
