My Puppies

♥Bella♥
My Bella Bear. I got Bella in 2005. I wanted a puppy of my own and growing up in a house with family dogs, I never had my very own pup. When I found Bella I knew she was one of a kind. She was so hyper and jumping out of her cage to try to get to me. Most people would say they want the calm one, but I wanted the only that had the personality. Bella was a bit hyper at first, lots of energy, but she has turned into the greatest dog. She is my shadow. Always has to be by me, touching me, able to see me and let me tell you, I love it so much. She is my very best friend (those of you who have dogs understand what I'm saying) My favorite thing to do is lay down on the couch or in bed snuggling with my Bella Bear, and I get the feeling it's her favorite thing too.

♥Dash♥
Dash was a present to Richard from my mom. He came to us on December 23rd 2009. It was his Christmas gift. Richard has just moved here a few months before and was missing his family, my mom thought it would be great to get him a pup. And Richard has said that was the best Christmas gift he has ever received. Dash and Rich are best buds. They are the boys in the house and they stick together. Dash is such a sweet cuddly boy and will come let me know he loves me every once in a while, but goes right back to dad. He loves to lay under the covers and be wrapped up in blankets. He also loves to lay out in the sun. That's were you will find him on a nice sunny day, outside sunbathing.

♥Lilo♥

Lilo was who we termed "littles" cuz she was just so freaking little. You could fit her in a coffee cup (and yes we tried) Next she was dubbed "Baby Lee. She was such the little cuddler. Her place was right at my chin and rested her head on my shoulder. She always slept with her tongue out (see below pic) and she was just the sweetest baby girl. I won't get into details well because there really aren't that many. She started limping around the house one day and I knew nothing had happened for her to do so. After a few days of limping I took her to the vet and he told me that her hip bone was not getting any blood flow. (I guess this is common in small dogs) She would need to have surgery in the next few weeks. I was sad because I felt so bad for my little baby to have to have hip surgery, but I didn't want her to suffer the pain she was going through and not being able to walk on that leg. So we took her in for surgery. I remember every minute of that day so clearly and I wish I didn't. I got a call from the vet (he was crying) he told me that she didn't make it. He said he did everything he could but her heart just stopped beating. When I got there, I held her for 2 hours. I didn't want to let her go. I just remember saying over and over "I'm so sorry Baby Lee" She died on October 14th 2010. She was only 6 months old. Lilo sits on a shelf with her paw prints and angels sitting beside her. Richard and I kiss her goodnight every night.

♥Doree♥
Doree was born on October 12th 2010. She was part of my mom's litter of all chocolate labs. When Talee (Doree's mama) had her puppies we all helped my mom take care of these puppies. There were 9. 6 boys, 3 girls. For some reason with all our litters, we never seem to have near as many girls. So I would come over everyday after work to help my mom feed the babies and clean up the pen. One of the girls (Doree) was having problems with walking. She couldn't hold her legs up under her. They would just slip out from under her. She was developing slower than the rest. Of course I became attached to this little chocolate chunk. Little did I know, I would be loosing my one of my babies the next day. After Lilo died, I spent so much time with this little baby girl. It was my way of grieving I guess. I named her my little Chocolate Chunky Doree. When people started coming to look at the babes and pick out their dogs, I would get so protective over Doree. I didn't want anyone to like her nor take her. In my heart, she felt like mine. And so she became in fact mine. How could I let anyone take the dog that helped me through the loss of another, who I helped feed and clean and held everyday for 2 months, I couldn't! She was mine! When this litter was born it was not in the cards for us to have a 4th dog and I knew I would not get attached, but with Lilo leaving us just 2 days after these babies were born, and Doree needing extra help, I truly believe it all happened for a reason.

Well that's our furbaby fam. We love our dogs like they are our own children.
Did you notice the Disney name theme?? Coincidence? I think not!!
